Family and Community Health

Family and Community Health (FCH) is part of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, Texas A&M System. AgriLife Extension offers practical information for families: raising children, housing and environment, eating well, managing money, and staying healthy.

 

 FABLOW AgriLife is multi-county collaboration between Frio, Atascosa, Bee, Live Oak, and Wilson County that implements and promotes “Better Living for Healthy Texans.” This joined effort has several resources you can benefit from like our research-based programs, to our award-winning newsletter, to our witty social sites, to even our new podcast and blog where we tackle lifestyle challenges the FABLOW way.  Follow us on all our social sites, and stay tuned for more “FABLOW -US” content!

Center on Disability and Development

A site affiliated with the College of Education & Human Development.

Mission of the CDD

The mission to support the self-determination, community integration, improving educational outcomes, and quality of life of people with disabilities and their families, the CDD has four core functions. Within these functions the CDD:

  • Community Services – provides training, and technical assistance to individuals with disabilities, their families, and those who support them.
  • Research and Evaluation – to improve school services and outcomes, and increase the quality of community life.
  • Interdisciplinary Pre-service – offers disability-related training through Texas A&M University.
  • Information Dissemination – develops tools for people with disabilities and their support systems.
